TENOVERSIX is an uncommon approach to the standard fashion multi-label boutique. Instead of focusing on ready-to-wear, we focus on another element of the industry: accessories, because we love them, feel they are the most statement-worthy part of fashion, and feel there are no other stores with a serious offering of fashion-forward, indie, and high-concept designer accessories, all under one roof. We offer all categories of accessories from a rotating roster of roughly seventy designers.

THE NEW GUARD

TENOVERSIX is stocking a mix of highly-acclaimed, like-minded designers and brands — A.P.C., Band of Outsiders, Alexander Wang, Kristen Lee, Rachel Comey, VPL, Comme Des Garcons, Martine Sitbon, Vena Cava, Tashkent by Cheyenne, Gryson, Rogues Gallery — to name a few, that share a love of distinctive details, quality, and stylish relevance. All of the designers stocked in TENOVERSIX are working outside the corporate-driven world of diluted fashion. Instead our designers are making subversive, thoughtful, highly creative, beautiful and original pieces. The designers showcased in TENOVERSIXwill be hand-chosen by Kristen and her team. The shop includes not only a wide selection of shoes and handbags, but extends to jewelry, hats, belts, lingerie, scarves, sunglasses, swimwear, vintage, mens ties, bowties, grooming, small leather goods, design objects, lighting, books, magazines, film, music and a well-chosen collection of smart politically minded lines and eco-friendly pieces, as well.

Experiencing Fashion

We want the experience at TENOVERSIX to be one of discovery, and we want it to be fun. The focus at TENOVERSIX is very much about displaying the product as art, but with a wink. In the gallery-like space, the product is displayed as a part of larger category-specific installations. We are obsessed with the details, we’ve gone to great lengths to showcase each line and piece with care and precision. In an all white space that is highly influenced by art, galleries and assemblage installation, the product is the only color, putting the focus exactly where it should go, on the beautiful pieces of fashion.

Statement Worthy

TENOVERSIX is thrilled to offer Brooklyn’s The Future Perfect’s store-in-store to Los Angeles. The Future Perfect is a purveyor of up-and-coming furniture, lighting, and home designers. As a favorite NY store of the owners of TENOVERSIX, we are happy to introduce Los Angeles to TFP’s unique offerings. We are happy to work with interior designers and set designer. Rentals and loans are available to suit your client’s needs. We can also facilitate special orders or consultations for larger projects.

ART STAR

As a larger part of our vision, and to round out the concept of exploring the interplay between relevant Fashion, Design and Art, and living with beautiful things, we now will devote one wall in the space to curating a rotation of Art, as well as floor space for more dimensional sculpture. We are constantly being challenged and inspired by great art, and will do our best to keep our rotation fresh, updating the artists offerings every few months. So far, we’ve been lucky to procure amazing pieces from political art by Studio Number One – Obama Hope campaign, a mix of subversive pieces from young LA artists curated by Kreiling &, plywood sculptures by Steven Shein, limited-edition large scale scenic photographs by acclaimed Italian photographer Massimo Vitale, interactive art pieces by Marc Horowitz, a color show with works by Brooklyn’s American Design Club curated by Kiel Mead, and recession-friendly, inspirational graphic poster art from HUMANS by Mike Mills. more to come…
