At TENOVERSIX we’re all about living with beautiful things: whether it’s Fashion to be worn, Art to be loved, Home Design to be lived with, Beauty to uplift, or Music/ Books/ Films to inspire. We want the experience at TENOVERSIX to be one of discovery, and we want it to be fun. The focus at TENOVERSIX is very much about bringing our customer a strong edit and displaying the product as art, but with a wink. We are obsessed with the details of good design, and have gone to great lengths to showcase beautiful pieces, perfect extras, and unexpected gifts. In an all white gallery-like space that is highly influenced by art, galleries and installation, the product is the only color, putting the focus exactly where it should be on the beautiful pieces of design.
THE NEW GUARD
TENOVERSIX stocks a mix of highly-acclaimed, like-minded designers and brands — A.P.C., Acne, Alexander Wang, Vena Cava, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Band of Outsiders, Rachel Comey, VPL, Comme Des Garcons, Peter Jensen, Karen Walker, Bodkin, Loeffler Randall, TenOverSix — to name a few, that share a love of distinctive details, quality, and stylish relevance. All of the designers stocked in TENOVERSIX are working outside the corporate-driven world of diluted fashion. Instead our designers are making subversive, thoughtful, highly creative, beautiful and original pieces. Many of our pieces are limited-edition, and all of them are special. We believe in stocking pieces that build wardrobes. The shop includes not only a wide selection of shoes and handbags, but extends to ready-to-wear, jewelry, hats, belts, lingerie, scarves, sunglasses, swimwear, vintage, mens ties, bowties, grooming, small leather goods, art, design objects, lighting, books, magazines, film, music and a well-chosen collection of smart politically minded lines and eco-friendly pieces, as well.
While we certainly have our own vision and expertise when it comes to the best in fashion, we often look to our peers and friends who do other things so well to curate sections. For the first two years, our good friends at The Future Perfect popped up at TENOVERSIX to bring LA a well-curated selection of home design, lighting, gifts and other clever objects. We still stock some of their offerings on a more limited basis, and highly encourage you to visit their Manhattan & Brooklyn, New York stores for some serious inspiration.
LA’s famed independent bookshop BookSoup currently stocks our store with an amazing selection of art & photography books as well as some of the most esoteric, and hard-to-find novels & fiction.
Brooklyn-based record label Mexican Summer creates a well-edited, rotating offering of some of their best albums available in vinyl at TENOVERSIX.
TENOVERSIX serves as west coast rep for highly-acclaimed lighting designer, Lindsey Adelman. Lindsey’s studio is based in New York, but TENOVERSIX can walk any customer or designer through the process of ordering one of her amazing, custom, hand-blown glass chandeliers. Samples available in-store to view.

As a larger part of our vision, and to round out the concept of exploring the interplay between relevant Fashion, Design and Art, and living with beautiful things, we now will devote one wall in the space to curating a rotation of Art, as well as floor space for more dimensional sculpture. We are constantly being challenged and inspired by great art, and will do our best to keep our rotation fresh, updating the artists offerings every few months. So far, we’ve been lucky to procure amazing pieces from political art by Studio Number One – Obama Hope campaign, a mix of subversive pieces from young LA artists curated by Kreiling &, Yaoska Davila, plywood sculptures by Steven Shein, limited-edition large scale scenic photographs by acclaimed Italian photographer Massimo Vitale, David Ash photography, avant garde Fashion/ Art pieces by Lun*na Menoh, interactive art pieces by Marc Horowitz, a color show with works by Brooklyn’s American Design Club curated by Kiel Mead, and affordable art in the realm of graphic posters from HUMANS by Mike Mills and contemporary artist-sanctioned multiples from Art Production Fund, NY.
